  • 10 ounces tomato soup (1 can)
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs, fine
  • 1/4 cup onion, minced
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, minced
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 9 ounces cut green beans, frozen, cooked, well-drained (1 package)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine 1/2 cup soup with all ingredients except green beans.

  • Step 2: Mix well and season to taste.

  • Step 3: On waxed paper, pat meat mixture into a 12 x 9-inch piece.

  • Step 4: Spread green beans to within 1 inch of all edges.

  • Step 5: Pat into meat.

  • Step 6: With aid of waxed paper, roll meat tightly, jelly-roll fashion, starting at long edge.

  • Step 7: Seal ends.

  • Step 8: Use the waxed paper to transfer to baking dish.

  • Step 9: Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes.

  • Step 10: Spoon off fat.

  • Step 11: Pour remaining soup over loaf.

  • Step 12: Bake 10 minutes longer.
