Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 7 ounces white bread, crust removed, buttered, 1-inch squares (7 slices)
  • 3 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1/2 pound cheddar cheese, shredded (8 ounces)
  • 16 ounces cooked shrimp, peeled
  • Custard
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, cut fine, to taste (it said 2)
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 1/2 cups milk

How to Make

  • Step 1: Grease or spray a 2 quart casserole dish.

  • Step 2: In casserole dish, layer half the buttered bread, shrimp and cheese, repeat layer with remaining half of bread, shrimp and cheese.

  • Step 3: Combine eggs, salt, paprika, parsley and milk pour over layers in casserole dish.

  • Step 4: Bake at 350°F for 1 hour covered or until knife comes out clean.

  • Step 5: Dot butter over top.
