  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/3 cup onion, minced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 12 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded (1 1/2 cups)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°.

  • Step 2: Get pie crust ready.

  • Step 3: Brown meat and onions with salt and pepper to taste over medium heat.

  • Step 4: Drain fat from pan and set aside.

  • Step 5: Blend mayonnaise, milk, eggs, and cornstarch in a medium bowl with a whisk until smooth.

  • Step 6: Stir in meat and cheese and pour into an unbaked regular pie shell.

  • Step 7: To avoid spills in the oven, place pie shell on a baking sheet prior to placing in oven.

  • Step 8: Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown on top and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
