  • 1 cup red onion, diced
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • Dressing
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 3/4 cup salad oil

How to Make

  • Step 1: In large bowl, place layer of cabbage, green pepper, and onion. Keep repeating until all vegetables are used.

  • Step 2: Pour sugar over layers.

  • Step 4: Cook until full boil and pour immediately over slaw.

  • Step 5: Refrigerate at least 4 hours.

  • Step 6: Toss before serving.

  • Step 7: Season to taste.
