Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound beef stew meat, cut into cubes
  • Dredge
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • Stew
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 carrot, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 28 ounces tomatoes, crushed (1 can)
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • 2 pounds red potatoes, cubed
  • 1 sweet potato, peeled, cubed
  • 15 ounces green beans, undrained (1 can)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oil, dredge meat in flour mixture and brown.

  • Step 2: Add onions, green peppers, garlic, paprika and tomato paste.

  • Step 3: Cook until softened, don't burn.

  • Step 4: Add to Pam sprayed crockpot.

  • Step 5: Deglaze pan with wine and pour into crockpot scraping all brown bits in too.

  • Step 6: Add rest of ingredients except potatoes and green beans, add them 1/2 way through cooking. They said sweet potato disintegrated; so you want whole potatoes. lol

  • Step 7: Simmer on low 6 hours until beef is tender.

  • Step 8: Remove bay leaf season to taste
