  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup cold butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 cup raspberry jam
  • 1/2 cup mini-semi-sweet chocolate chips

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine flour and sugar. Cut in butter. (I use my food processor, but make sure it's a large one.)

  • Step 2: Stir in egg and almond until moist.

  • Step 3: Set aside 1 cup.

  • Step 4: Press remaining mixture into a greased 11x7 inch baking pan and bake for 5 minutes.

  • Step 5: Spread with jam and then drop by spoonfuls the remaining batter.

  • Step 6: Bake for 35 minutes or until golden.

  • Step 7: Sprinkle with choco-chips and return to the oven for one minute, or until chips are glossy.

  • Step 8: Cool completely before cutting.
