  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 30 ounces peas, drained, save 1/4 cup juice (2 cans)
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons real bacon bits
  • Garnish
  • 1/2 cup buttery Ritz crackers

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oven to 350°F.

  • Step 2: Grease a 2-quart casserole with shortening or cooking spray.

  • Step 3: In a 3-quart saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

  • Step 4: Cook green onions and celery in butter 1 minute.

  • Step 5: Stir in flour and seasoned salt and white pepper.

  • Step 6: Cook and stir for 1 minute.

  • Step 7: Add pea juice and cook one minute more.

  • Step 9: Add peas and bacon, stirring gently.

  • Step 10: Spoon mixture into casserole.

  • Step 12: Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until center is hot and edges are bubbly.
