Step 1: Marinate red onions with sugar and white vinegar for 10 minutes.
Step 2: In a large bowl, combine iceberg lettuce, romaine lettuce, sliced onions, pimentos, artichoke hearts, and shaved parmesan.
Step 3: Toss and chill.
Step 4: In a small bowl combine vegetable oil, olive oil, red wine vinegar, and salt and pepper to taste. Add a smidge of cheese.
Step 5: Whisk the salad dressing well.
Step 6: Pour salad dressing over chilled salad.
Step 7: Season to taste and serve.
