Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • Special Sauce
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon old bay seasoning
  • 1/16 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/16 teaspoon Louisiana style hot sauce
  • Sandwich
  • 4 ounces deli roast beef, shaved
  • 2 ounces salami slices, thickly cut (2)
  • 4 yellow onion slices
  • 4 ounces American cheese slices (4)
  • 2 tomato slices, 1/2 inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 ounces kaiser roll (2)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Sauce: Combine all ingredients in a bowl; set aside.

  • Step 2: Sandwich: Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

  • Step 3: Prepare broiler for toasting roll.

  • Step 4: Place onions on one side of skillet and top with (stacked) roast beef slices.

  • Step 5: Cook for about 3 minutes, then flip.

  • Step 6: Place salami slices on other side of skillet and top with a cheese slice, then tomato slices.

  • Step 7: Cook until salami begins to brown and cheese is melting, about 2 minutes.

  • Step 8: Meanwhile, place a slice of cheese on each roll – face up – and broil for about 30 seconds.

  • Step 9: Flip salami stack, tomato side down onto beef/onion stack.

  • Step 10: Place entire stack on bottom roll.

  • Step 11: Top with desired amount of 'special' sauce; then add top roll.
