  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup onions, diced
  • 2 cups celery, sliced
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 28 ounces tomatoes (1 can)
  • 15 ounces kidney beans, undrained (1 can)
  • 1 cup water

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook ground beef and onions and season lightly.

  • Step 2: Add celery and bell pepper and cook until softened.

  • Step 3: Add chili powder, tomatoes and beans.

  • Step 5: Add water and simmer for 60 minutes adding water as needed.

  • Step 6: Season to taste.

  • Step 7: Remove bay leaf.
