Step 1: Preheat oven to 200°C. and line a baking sheet with baking paper.
Step 2: Trim and prepare the beans by removing the tops and keeping the tails.
Step 3: Place the beans prepared baking tray and drizzle beans with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and sprinkle with paprika.
Step 4: Add the almond flakes and top evenly with the grated parmesan cheese over the top and toss well.
Step 5: Place the tray in the oven and roast for 15-20 minutes, tossing every 7 minutes, until the beans turn golden brown.
Step 6: Remove the tray from the oven, sprinkle with chili flakes if using and sprinkle over the grated the zest of 1/4 of a lemon. Serve hot.
Step 7: Note: Keep an eye on the almonds to ensure they do not burn.
