  • Canola oil, deep fry pork
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix marinade ingredients together, from cornflour to Chinese five spice.

  • Step 2: Trim pork steaks and flatten out slightly and cut into 1 cm strips and marinade for about hour before you are ready to cook.

  • Step 3: Heat wok and peanut oil and stir fry pineapple and capsicum and stir fry until slightly caramelized and then add snow peas and carrot and continue to stir fry until just tender and remove to a bowl.

  • Step 4: Wipe out wok and put in canola oil and heat up and fry up pork in batches putting into a paper line casserole dish or tray between batches and empty out oil from the wok.

  • Step 5: When pork is completed return the vegetables to the wok with the sweet and sour sauce and hot chilli sauce if using and bring to a simmer and then put in the pork and heat through.

  • Step 6: Serve over noodles or rice and you could also add other vegetables such as spinach , cabbage or Asian greens and we also believe it could go well with chicken.
