Step 1: Preheat grill.
Step 2: Using a plate, place ground beef on plate and gently spread it apart with 2 forks. Spread sour cream over the meat and then sprinkle with the next 3 ingredients (-ham). Lift mixture and fold it over on itself and then shape into 4 patties about 3/4 inch thick.
Step 3: If you are using presoaked wood chips, sprinkle them over the hot coals. Brush grill with oil.
Step 4: Grill hamburgers over medium hot heat, 3-5 minus on first side and then flip burger and 5 minutes on second side or until burgers are done. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
