  • 12 ounces dry spaghetti
  • 6 cups water, boiling
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Sauce
  • 4 ounces bacon, minced
  • 1 cup onions diced
  • 15 ounces tomatoes, diced (1 can)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Topping
  • 8 ounces American cheese, shredded

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook pasta in heavily salted boiling water until al dente.

  • Step 2: Drain, saving 1/2 cup pasta water.

  • Step 3: Saute the bacon.

  • Step 4: Add onions and season lightly.

  • Step 5: Add tomatoes and simmer while pasta is cooking.

  • Step 6: Add al dente pasta to sauce with 1/2 cup pasta water.

  • Step 7: Season to taste.

  • Step 8: Pour into Pam sprayed 9x13 casserole dish.

  • Step 9: Top with cheese.

  • Step 10: Bake 350 degree F oven for 30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
