Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 med onion, sliced
  • 14 ounces diced tomatoes (undrained) (1 can)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 4 tablespoons dried onion flakes
  • 1 tablespoon instant beef bouillon powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (not garlic salt)
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 8 medium chicken thighs

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Gently fry the onion until transparent. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients, except chicken. Stir to combine.

  • Step 2: Place the thighs in the slow cooker. Pour over the sauce mixture, moving the thighs,around until they are all coated in the sauce.

  • Step 3: Cover with lid. Cook on low for 8 hours. (You can also cook this recipe on high for 3 1/2 to 4 hours or until chicken is cooked through.)

  • Step 4: Serve chicken with rice and steamed vegetables.
