Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup onions, minced
  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper, minced
  • 2 jalapenos, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 4 ounces mushrooms, sliced, undrained (1 can)
  • 10 ounces chicken broth (1 can)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 7 ounces dry white rice (1 cup)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat butter.

  • Step 2: Add onions, bell peppers and jalapenos.

  • Step 3: Saute until softened.

  • Step 4: Season lightly.

  • Step 5: Add rest of ingredients rinsing out can with water.

  • Step 6: Cover and simmer 20 minutes.

  • Step 7: Take off heat and let set covered for 5 minutes, season to taste.
