Step 1: Soak beans overnight in water.

Step 4: Cook on simmer until beans are soft.
Step 5: Adding water as needed.
Step 6: They stained and mashed the beans, you could use a stick blender if you wish.
Step 7: Melt the butter in skillet cook the flour and butter until light brown.
Step 8: Whisk into beans.
Step 9: Season to taste.
