Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 100 grams dried angel hair pasta
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 200 grams green prawns, peeled and tails intact if you wish, we don't
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons parsley leaves, finely chopped fresh
  • Extra virgin olive oil, to serve
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling, salted water following packet directions until tender, drain and cover to keep warm. As my pasta only took 2 minutes to cook I put it in the boiling water when I added the prawns to the pan and when the pasta was needed to add to the prawns, I used tongs to transfer it to the frypan from the pot - okay to get some pasta water into the pan.

  • Step 2: Meanwhile, heat oil in a large, deep frying pan over medium-high heat and add garlic, chilli and salt and cook, stirring, for 1 to 2 minutes or until fragrant and then add prawns and cook, stirring, for 3 to 4 minutes or until prawns turn pink and are almost cooked through (I added the pasta to the pot as I added the prawns to frypan).

  • Step 3: Add pasta, lemon juice and parsley to pan and cook, tossing, for 1 minute or until combined and prawns are cooked through and serve drizzled with oil.
