Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 (28-ounce) can baked beans, drained
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard (prepared mustard)
  • Refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (4.5 ounce tube 6 biscuits)
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F, then grease an 11"x7" baking dish.

  • Step 2: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef & onions over medium heat until meat is no longer pink, then add the garlic & cook 1 minute longer. Drain off the fat.

  • Step 3: Add the beans, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, ketchup & mustard, then bring to a simmer. Cook another 5 minutes or until heated through, then transfer the meat & bean mixture to the prepared baking dish.

  • Step 4: Separate the biscuits & cut them in half, before arranging them over the beef mixture.

  • Step 5: Bake, uncovered, for 18 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown, then sprinkle with the cheese & bake another 2 to 3 minutes longer or until the cheese is melted.
