Step 1: Preheat oven to 325 degrees and coat a 9 x 5 x 4-inch glass loaf pan with cooking spray.
Step 2: Sift flour, baking powder and salt and set aside.
Step 3: Using electric mixer, blend butter and sugar.
Step 4: Add eggs and beat for about 2 minutes.
Step 5: Add pecans and mix well, then add milk and mix again.
Step 6: Add dry ingredients and mix on medium speed of mixer, just until combined.
Step 7: Bake for 1 hour, then let stand in pan for 5 minutes.
Step 8: Remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack.
Step 9: Wrap unused bread tightly in plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate.
