Step 1: Soak beans overnight.
Step 2: Drain.
Step 3: In large stockpot, add salt to pot and add ground beef and onion.
Step 4: Cook until browned.
Step 5: Add the tomato puree. I'm guessing he meant paste since it's 6 ounces so that's what I'm putting.
Step 6: Add chili powder and don't burn.
Step 7: Add water as needed, cumin and drained beans.
Step 8: Bring to a boil and turn down heat.
Step 9: Simmer until beans are soft adding water as needed.
