Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1500 ml Pinot Grigio, 2 bottles
  • 3 cups apple cider
  • 1 cup spiced rum
  • 1/4 cup Cinnamon Schnapps, or Fireball Whiskey
  • 1 1/2 pounds Honey Crisp apples (4 apples)
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 teaspoons whole cloves
  • 1 dried Guajillo Chile (optional)
  • 1 liter Ginger Beer (can sub Ginger Ale)
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Wash the apples well. Core and slice them. No need to peel.

  • Step 2: Tie the cloves and cinnamon in a cheesecloth packet or bag.

  • Step 3: Add all the ingredients, except the Ginger Beer, to a large pitcher. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight.

  • Step 4: When ready to serve, remove the cheesecloth packet (or strain the Sangria if you didn't use one). Remove and discard the chile.

  • Step 5: Add the ginger beer right before serving. Garnish with additional sliced apples, red and green.
