Step 1: Get spices ready.
Step 2: Cook pasta in heavily salted boiling water until al dente.
Step 3: Drain saving 1/2 cup pasta water.
Step 4: Meanwhile, in a large skillet heat the olive oil.
Step 5: Once hot, add the diced onion, and cook for 4-5 minutes until softened.
Step 6: Add the diced zucchini and carrots, and garlic and cook for a further 4-5 minutes until softened slightly.
Step 7: Add the ground beef, and cook breaking up the meat.
Step 8: Keep cooking until the beef is browned and cooked through, drain the fat if needed.
Step 9: Add in the salt, pepper, and all the spices to taste.
Step 10: Cook for another minute or so.
Step 11: Add the tomato paste.
Step 12: Don't burn.
Step 13: Add tomatoes and pasta water.
Step 14: Simmer 10 minutes
Step 15: Add macaroni and simmer until thickened.
Step 16: Check seasoning for taste.
