Step 1: Soak poppy seeds in scalded milk over night.
Step 2: Preheat oven to 375F.
Step 3: Cream butter and sugar together.
Step 4: Add soaked seeds vanilla and milk.
Step 5: Add flour sifted with baking powder and salt.
Step 6: Beat well.
Step 7: Fold in egg white.
Step 8: Pour into greased and floured 10 inch spring form cake pan.
Step 9: Bake for 25 minutes.
