  • 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped

  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon chipotle powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Corn chips
  • Shredded cheese for garnish

How to Make

  • Step 1: Saute onion, garlic and red pepper in bacon grease over medium heat till tender. Add spices to the saute and stir to mix. Add beans, chicken broth, and salsa. Simmer for 25 minutes.
