  • 2 cups cooked butternut squash, mashed
  • 1/2 cup onion, grated
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded, (can add 1/2 cup more)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Topping
  • 1/2 cup ritz crackers, crushed
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  • Step 2: Add bacon grease to hot scalded milk.

  • Step 3: Add bread crumbs and squash

  • Step 6: Turn into a buttered Pam sprayed casserole dish.

  • Step 7: Mix topping and put on top.

  • Step 8: Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes until hot and bubbly and topping is lightly browned.
