Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 pounds ground beef, (chuck)
  • 3 pounds potatoes, peeled, sliced thin, (5)
  • 1/2 cup onions, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup butter

How to Make

  • Step 1: Sprinkle salt and pepper on the bottom of a 2 quart (or so) casserole dish, and then press in the ground chuck, patting down well into the bottom of the dish.

  • Step 2: Salt and pepper again.

  • Step 3: And sprinkle with minced onion.

  • Step 4: Add a layer of potatoes and a little salt/pepper to taste.

  • Step 5: Layer potatoes...until dish is full.

  • Step 6: Dot with butter.

  • Step 7: Cover and bake at 350 degrees about 90 minutes.
