Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 pounds beef soupbone
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 10 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • Veggies
  • 2 pounds potatoes, peeled, grated, (4 potatoes)
  • 3 carrots, grated
  • 1 cup onion, grated
  • 1 turnip, peeled, grated
  • 15 ounces French green beans, undrained (1 can)
  • 1/4 pound dry spaghetti, broken in 1/3's
  • Garnish
  • 1 stick butter
  • 4 ounces parmesan cheese, grated

How to Make

  • Step 1: In large stock pot, heat oil and brown soup bone that you have lightly seasoned.

  • Step 2: Add water and seasoning.

  • Step 3: Boil for 1/2 on hour, until meat comes off; the recipe says to remove but I'm leaving in.

  • Step 4: Add veggies simmer for 90 minutes.

  • Step 5: Remove soup bone and add spaghetti.

  • Step 6: Simmer 12 minutes.

  • Step 7: Season to taste.

  • Step 8: In bowl add a dot of butter and some cheese.

  • Step 9: Pour in hot soup.
