The ingredients are:
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 12 ounces raw converted long-grain white rice, (1 1/2 cups)
  • 1/2 cup carrots, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 cup water
  • 14 ounces chicken broth with roasted garlic (1 can)
  • 1 1/4 cups frozen cut green beans, thawed
  • 2 green onions, sliced

How to Make

  • Step 1: In covered sauce pan, heat oil over medium-high heat.

  • Step 2: Add rice, carrot, salt and lemon-pepper seasoning; cook stirring frequently, until rice is golden brown.

  • Step 3: Add water and broth.

  • Step 4: Stir in green beans that you have chopped fine and onions.

  • Step 5: Heat to boiling.

  • Step 6: Cover, and turn down to simmer for 20 minutes.

  • Step 7: Take off heat still covered.

  • Step 8: Let set 5 minutes.

  • Step 9: Fluff.

  • Step 10: Season to taste.
