Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic
  • 6 ounces chicken, undrained (1 can)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chicken base
  • 1 cup water, boiling
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix bouillon in water and stir.

  • Step 2: In a saucepan, melt the butter .

  • Step 3: Stir in the flour until well combined and stir for one minute to make roux, do not let it brown.

  • Step 4: Slowly stream the bullion flavored water into the roux constantly whisking to prevent lumps.

  • Step 5: Once smooth, turn down to a gentle simmer and stir to prevent a skin forming.

  • Step 6: Stir in your chicken, turmeric, onion and garlic powder.

  • Step 7: Taste and add salt and pepper as needed.
