Step 1: Prepare custard:
Step 2: Whisk together the egg yolks and sugar in a large heavy saucepan.
Step 3: Whisk in the milks.
Step 4: Cook over medium-low, stirring constantly, CONSTANTLY for 15 minutes or until the mixture coats the back of a spoon.(burnt custard is a bad bad thing!)
Step 5: Stir in peaches that you have mashed with a potato masher, and vanilla.
Step 6: Don't leave big pieces of peach cause you will have a peach ice cube.
Step 7: Chill ice cream base:
Step 8: Cool completely (about 30 minutes)
Step 9: Cover and chill for 8 hours.
Step 10: Freeze the ice cream:
Step 11: Pour the custard into the freezer container of a 2 1/2 to 3-quart electric ice-cream maker.
Step 12: Transfer to a freezer-safe container.
Step 13: Freeze for 2 hours or until firm.
