Step 1: Crust:
Step 2: Mix melted butter, powdered sugar, salt and flour.
Step 3: Pat into a 9 x 13 baking dish.
Step 4: Bake 20 minutes in 350 degrees F oven.
Step 5: Cream together butter with 1 cup sugar.
Step 6: Add egg yolks one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Step 7: Add lemon juice and vanilla.
Step 8: Add flour, salt and cream cheese.
Step 9: Cream until smooth.
Step 10: In another bowl, whip egg whites, gradually adding 1/3 c sugar.
Step 11: Fold into egg yolk mixture.
Step 12: Pour into ‘half-baked” crust.
Step 13: Bake in 350 degree oven 30-45 minutes.
Step 14: Test with knife to see if it comes out clean.
Step 15: Cool.
Step 16: Dust with powdered sugar.
Step 17: Cut into small squares.
