Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 7 ounces dry white rice (1 cup)
  • 1 ounce Lipton dry chicken noodle soup mix (1 envelope)
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon sage
  • 1 teaspoon dry parsley flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a skillet, heat butter.

  • Step 2: Saute rice, onion, and celery until rice is golden brown.

  • Step 3: Stir in remaining ingredients.

  • Step 5: Remove from heat, let stand for 10 minutes still covered.

  • Step 6: Fluff.

  • Step 7: Season to taste.
