We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Wash the mixed salad greens thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel. Tear or chop the greens into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large salad bowl.

  • Step 2: Peel the red onion and slice it thinly. Add the sliced red onion to the salad bowl with the mixed greens.

  • Step 3: Rinse the tomatoes under cold water and dice them into small pieces. Add the diced tomatoes to the salad bowl.

  • Step 4: Core the Granny Smith apples and cut them into thin slices. You can leave the skin on for added texture and color. Add the apple slices to the salad bowl.

  • Step 5: In a small mixing bowl, combine the red wine vinegar, avocado oil (or olive oil), crushed garlic clove, salt, and black pepper. Whisk the ingredients together until well combined.

  • Step 6: Pour the prepared vinaigrette over the salad greens, onions, tomatoes, and apples in the salad bowl. Toss gently to coat all the ingredients evenly with the vinaigrette.

  • Step 7: Sprinkle the crumbled feta or gorgonzola cheese over the salad. If you prefer some extra crunch, add the chopped walnuts as well.
