Step 1: Mix together cornstarch with 1 cup tomato juice.
Step 2: Stir barbecue sauce with remaining 1 cup of tomato juice and tomato paste.
Step 3: Sprinkle salt in bottom of very large skillet to keep beef from sticking to pan.
Step 4: Brown meat over medium high heat, in batches, until all is browned.
Step 5: Drain liquid.
Step 6: Skim off fat from liquid and discard.
Step 7: Return meat juices to pan with the beef.
Step 8: Stir in cornstarch/tomato juice mixture and keep stirring until thickened.
Step 9: Pour in barbecue tomato mixture.
Step 10: Add onion and garlic powder to taste.
Step 11: Add brown sugar and simmer five minutes.
Step 12: Portion onto hamburger buns.
Step 13: Wrap filled sandwiches in wax paper and pack into clean pan.
Step 14: Keep warm in very low oven until ready to serve.
Step 15: Serve with chips, fresh fruit, chocolate snack cake and milk.
