Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 large French baguette
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Green food coloring (optional)
  • Black sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Step 2: Slice the French baguette diagonally into 1-inch thick slices, without cutting all the way through. This will create the appearance of Frankenstein's "stitched" neck bolts.

  • Step 3: In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.

  • Step 4: Optional: If desired, add a few drops of green food coloring to the butter mixture and mix until the desired shade of green is achieved, representing Frankenstein's complexion.

  • Step 5: Gently spread the garlic butter mixture between the slices of the baguette, making sure to coat both sides of each slice.

  • Step 6: Place the prepared baguette onto a baking sheet or a piece of aluminum foil.

  • Step 7: Optional: For an extra Frankenstein-inspired touch, sprinkle black sesame seeds on top of the bread to resemble the monster's "hair."

  • Step 8: Bake the garlic bread in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the bread is crispy on the outside and the butter has melted and infused with the flavors.

  • Step 9: Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.

  • Step 10: Serve the Frankenstein's Garlic Bread warm. Pull apart the slices, revealing the buttery garlic-infused insides and the distinctive "stitched" appearance.
