  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4. teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons dry ranch dressing mix

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat the oil in a cast iron skillet over medium heat.

  • Step 2: Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper, then rub all over with the ranch dressing mix.

  • Step 3: Transfer chicken thighs, skin side down, to the skillet.

  • Step 4: Cook undisturbed until the skin has blackened - for about 12-15 minutes.

  • Step 5: Turn chicken over and cook for about another 12-15 minutes until done (instant read thermometer stuck into the thickest part should read 175 degrees F.)
