Step 1: Melt 4 oz. oleo or other fat.
Step 2: Add 1 large onion chopped and 1 large clove garlic & brown.
Step 3: Then add 2 lbs. hamburger & brown.
Step 4: Then add 1 tablespoon chili powder, salt, paprika, 1 teaspoon red pepper & 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon & cloves.
Step 5: Then add one 10 oz. can tomato sauce & one quart water or stock.
Step 6: Cook slowly 1 hour.
Step 7: Then add 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed in water.
Step 8: Cook until thickened
