  • 2 cups milk
  • 5 ounces tuna (1 can)
  • 1/4 cup frozen peas
  • Toast
  • 4 ounces white bread, (4 slices)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Begin by melting butter over medium heat.

  • Step 2: Add flour salt, pepper, and paprika.

  • Step 3: Stir together until mixture begins to bubble about 1 minute

  • Step 4: Start toast.

  • Step 5: Continue stirring an additional minute.

  • Step 6: Add milk; increase heat to medium high stirring frequently.

  • Step 7: Bring to a simmer, mixture will begin to bubble at edges, about 6-8 minutes.

  • Step 8: Reduce heat to medium and stir constantly for an additional 2 minutes.

  • Step 9: Add undrained tuna and peas.

  • Step 10: Season to taste.

  • Step 11: Heat through and serve over buttered toast.

  • Step 12: For kids tear up toast in smaller pieces.
