Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground veal
  • 1/4 pound ground pork
  • 1/3 cup dried fine bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup shallots, minced, (or green onions)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons spicy green chile salsa
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chili sauce
  • 2 ounces bacon, halved, (2 slices)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  • Step 2: In large bowl combine beef, veal, pork, bread crumbs, shallots, milk, egg, salsa, cilantro, parsley, salt, pepper and soy sauce.

  • Step 3: Mix well.

  • Step 4: Shape into loaf in a Pam sprayed shallow baking pan.

  • Step 5: Spread chili sauce over top.

  • Step 6: Place bacon strips on top.

  • Step 7: Bake at 400 degrees 15 minutes.

  • Step 8: Reduce oven heat to 350 degrees.

  • Step 9: Bake 55 minutes more or until done, don't overcook.
