  • 1 pound ground pork sausage
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten for egg wash

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork sausage, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  • Step 3: On a lightly floured surface, roll out each sheet of puff pastry into a 12x9-inch rectangle.

  • Step 4: Cut each pastry sheet in half lengthwise to make 4 rectangles.

  • Step 5: Divide the sausage mixture into 8 equal portions.

  • Step 6: Place each portion of sausage mixture along the center of each pastry rectangle.

  • Step 7: Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg.

  • Step 8: Roll up the pastry tightly around the sausage mixture, tucking in the edges as you go.

  • Step 9: Place the rolls seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  • Step 10: Brush the top of each roll with the egg wash.

  • Step 11: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the sausage is cooked through.

  • Step 12: Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
