  • 1/4 cup chopped macadamia nuts (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or sweetener of your choice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • For serving (optional):
  • Sliced banana
  • Additional shredded coconut
  • Chopped fresh tropical fruits
  • Chopped macadamia nuts

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a slow cooker, combine the steel-cut oats, coconut milk, water, shredded coconut, dried tropical fruits, macadamia nuts (if using), maple syrup, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Stir well to combine.

  • Step 2: Cover the slow cooker and set it to low heat. Cook the oatmeal for 8 hours overnight.
