Step 1: Heat a large skillet over medium/medium low heat. Add butter and melt.
Step 2: Add sliced onion and cook for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown and caramelized.
Step 3: In the last minute or two, deglaze the pan with white wine. Cook until the wine is absorbed; set aside.
Step 4: Preheat your grill to high heat.
Step 5: Cook hot dogs until warmed through.
Step 6: Toast buns until golden brown (this won't take long).
Step 7: Place jalapenos on the grill and cook for about 8 minutes, turning every few minutes. Remove from heat and cut into 1/4 inch slices.
Step 8: Take one toasted bun and smear on cream cheese.
Step 9: Place hot dog in the bun and top with caramelized onions, jalapeƱos, bacon, and other preferred toppings, as desired.
Step 10: Repeat with remaining dogs.
