Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F.
Step 2: Combine the flour, salt, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, brown sugar, white sugar and vegetable oil. Mix until well blended.
Step 3: REMOVE 3/4 cups to save for the topping (add the remaining 1 teaspoon of cinnamon to the topping mixture).
Step 4: To the remainder of the mixture (NOT the topping), add the baking soda, baking powder, beaten egg and buttermilk.
Step 5: Mix until smooth.
Step 6: Pour into a greased 9"x13" pan.
Step 7: Sprinkle with reserved topping.
Step 8: Bake 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
