Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • Base
  • 2 cups pecans
  • 1 cup oats
  • 3/4 cups pitted dates
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • Topping
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

How to Make

  • Step 1: Line a 9x9 pan with parchment paper

  • Step 2: Add 2 cups pecans and oats to processor and pulse until they are pulverized

  • Step 3: Add dates, peanut butter and maple syrup and whiz until it starts to form a dough

  • Step 4: Press mixture firmly into lined pan, place in freezer

  • Step 5: As it freezes put a small saucepan over medium low heat and add chocolate chips and coconut oil

  • Step 6: Stir until melted and smooth

  • Step 7: Pour the melted chocolate over the base and smooth with a knife. Place back in freezer until set about 30 minutesslice into bars
