Step 1: Heat oil in frying pan.
Step 2: Brown meat and add to Pam sprayed crockpot.
Step 3: Brown onion and garlic and add to crockpot.
Step 4: Add seasoning and beef broth to frying pan, swirling around to remove browned bits and add to crockpot.
Step 5: Plop squash on top.
Step 6: Simmer on low for 5 hours until meat is tender.
Step 7: Remove squash.
Step 8: Add undrained canned goods (not Lima beans).
Step 9: Add water if needed.
Step 10: Peel and cube squash and add back to stew.
Step 11: Season to taste.
Step 12: Remove bay leaf simmer 1 hour more.
Step 13: Last 5 minutes add Lima beans.
