Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound ground beef, pressed into 8 thin patties
  • 1 tomato, finely diced
  • 1 jalapeno, finely diced
  • 1/2 onion, finely diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cilantro, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 taco seasoning packet
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • 2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
  • Taco sauce (your favorite brand)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix together the tomato, jalapeno, onion, garlic and cilantro in a small bowl. Set aside.

  • Step 2: Put a spoonful of the vegetable mixture on top of 4 of the ground beef patties; cover each of those patties with a second patty, sealing the edges.

  • Step 3: Sprinkle the taco seasoning on each side of the patties (use as much or as little as desired), then grill or fry until cooked through.

  • Step 4: Place cooked patty on a bun bottom and top with lettuce, cheese, taco sauce & bun top.
