Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/8 cup olive oil
  • 1/8 cup butter
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 pound green cabbage, (from 1 small head cabbage),(6 cups), chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, smashed
  • 2 pounds potatoes, peeled ,chopped
  • 3 carrots, peeled,chopped
  • 6 cups vegetable broth
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • Garnish:
  • 8 ounces sour cream,(¾ cup)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, minced

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oil and butter together.

  • Step 2: Saute onions until translucent.

  • Step 3: Add cabbage, carrots garlic, spices, dried herbs and veggie stock.

  • Step 4: Simmer 45 minutes stirring occasionally

  • Step 5: Season to taste.

  • Step 6: Dollop some sour cream on top and sprinkle fresh dill on top.
