Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves, loosely packed
  • 1 cup flat-leaf parsley, loosely packed
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 4 teaspoons lemon zest, grated
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 1/2 ounces Parmesan cheese, grated (1/2 cup) not the stuff in the green can

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place basil, parsley, almonds and garlic in a small food processor; pulse until chopped.

  • Step 2: Add lemon zest, juice, honey and salt. Process again. While processor is running, gradually add oil in a steady stream.

  • Step 3: Add cheese and pulse just until blended. Will keep in the fridge up to a week in an airtight container.
