  • 1 tablespoon shortening
  • Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon horseradish sauce

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix the ground beef with onions and breadcrumbs

  • Step 2: Mix in egg

  • Step 3: Season to taste

  • Step 4: Add half the can of soup

  • Step 5: Shape into 2 loaves

  • Step 6: Meanwhile heat dutch oven with shortening

  • Step 7: When hot brown both sides of patties

  • Step 8: Cover simmer on low for 25 minutes

  • Step 9: Drain fat add the tomato soup rinsing out can with water and horseradish

  • Step 10: Cook uncovered for 10 minutes
